We are certified as a Heavy Rescue Provider and Confined Space Rescue. We are also certified as an ambulance provider in the state. 

Our Heavy Rescue capabilities range from motor vehicle accidents to machinery extrication and agricultural and construction accidents. Confined space is defined as a space that: (1) Is large enough and so configured that an employee can bodily enter and perform assigned work; and. (2) Has limited or restricted means for entry or exit (for example, tanks, vessels, silos, storage bins, hoppers, vaults, and pits are spaces that may have limited means of entry).  

As requested, we also conduct water rescues along the Yadkin River, participate in wilderness searches, and provide medical standbys for local football games, runs, and other events.

Elkin Emergency Rescue Squad is happy to announce that we partnered with Hugh Chatham Health on August 1, 2023, to provide ambulance transportation for their hospital discharges.
